At present, China attaches great importance to the environment in the future, the load regulation range of large coal-fired power plants increases, a variety of coal sources and the contradiction between environmental protection and coal-fired make China choose the high efficiency and low pollution circulating fluidized bed boiler as a new coal-fired technology.


Advantages: due to the unique hydrodynamic characteristics and structure of circulating fluidized bed boiler, it has many unique advantages, which are briefly described below.


1. Fuel adaptability: This is one of the main characteristics of CFB boiler. In the circulating fluidized bed boiler, the fuel accounts for only 1% - 3% of the bed material by weight, and the others are non combustible solid particles, such as desulfurizer, ash or sand. The special hydrodynamic characteristics of circulating fluidized bed boiler make the gas, solid and solid fuel mix very well. Therefore, the fuel is mixed with a large number of bed materials quickly after entering the furnace, and the fuel is heated to higher than the ignition temperature at this speed, while the bed temperature does not decrease significantly, as long as the calorific value of the fuel is greater than the heat required to heat the fuel itself and the air required by the fuel to the ignition temperature. The circulating fluidized bed boiler can use not only high-quality coal, but also various inferior coal, such as high ash coal, high sulfur coal, high ash high sulfur coal, coal gangue, peat, oil shale, petroleum coke, slag bark, waste wood, garbage, etc.


2. High combustion efficiency: the combustion efficiency of CFB boiler is 97.5-99.5% higher than that of Chain Grate Boiler, which is comparable to that of pulverized coal boiler. The CFB boiler is characterized by high combustion efficiency, especially for the unburned pulverized fuel in the high temperature range The same is expected.


3. High efficiency desulfurization: the desulfurization of circulating fluidized bed boiler is more effective than other types of boiler, and the desulfurization of typical circulating fluidized bed boiler can reach 90%. Different from the combustion process, the desulfurization reaction is relatively slow. In order to fully convert calcium oxide (burning limestone) into calcium sulfate, the sulfur dioxide gas in the flue gas must have enough long contact time with the desulfurizer and as large reaction area as possible. The average residence time of gas in combustion zone is 3-4 seconds. The particle size of limestone in CFB boiler is usually 0.1-0.3 mm. Both the utilization rate of desulfurizer and the removal rate of sulfur dioxide, CFB boiler is superior to other boilers.


4. Low NOx emission: low NOx emission is a very attractive feature of CFB boiler. Operation experience shows that the emission range of nitrogen dioxide from CFB boiler is 50-150ppm or 40-120mg / MJ. The reasons for low NOx emission are as follows: first, low temperature combustion, when nitrogen in the air generally does not generate NOx; second, staged combustion, which inhibits nitrogen in the fuel to convert NOx, and reduces part of NOx.
