Boiler waste heat recovery is the recovery and utilization of wasted heat energy. It is one of the most direct and economical means to improve energy utilization, reduce production costs, and protect the environment. The exhaust gas temperature of the boiler directly affects the economy of the boiler unit and the safety of the rear heating surface. Choosing a lower exhaust gas temperature can reduce the exhaust gas loss of the boiler, which is beneficial to improve the thermal efficiency of the boiler and save energy and boiler operating costs. However, the lowering of the exhaust gas temperature reduces the heat transfer temperature and pressure of the flue gas and the working fluid in the heating surface of the tail, increases the heat transfer area, and increases the metal consumption and the initial investment of equipment. In addition, if the exhaust gas temperature is too low, it will cause the condensation of sulfuric acid vapor in the tail flue, causing the low-temperature heating surface to corrode and block the ash. Therefore, the exhaust gas temperature of most boilers is around 200°C.
